Hello, my name is Russell Mohammed and I was born in West Palm Beach, Florida. I came to New York when I was ten years old and been been living here for nine years now. I graduated from a high school in Ozone Park, Queens called High School for Construction Trades, Engineering and Architecture. I come from a West Indian family where my parents were born in Trinidad and Tobago. The only language I speak is English but when I am around my family or other people from Trinidad, I often speak broken English with a heavy accent. I play soccer for fun as one of my major sports but also, I play basketball and football. This is my second semester at City College as a freshman to study civil engineering as my major. I chose this major because of my interest in building bridges, but lately I been thinking about if I really want to continue to purse civil engineering. On my free time when I am not in school, I try to hangout with my friends as much as possible because most of the time my friends and I are busy with school or work. I have realized that college is going to be tough as I go from being a freshman to graduating college but in the end I’m looking forward to getting a degree in my major.
